Ilan Blanck is a guitarist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist currently living, studying and generally puttering around Appleton, WI. As a guitarist, he has performed as both a soloist as well as in a number of groups in a wide range of styles at venues that have included New York City’s Nublu, Chicago’s Park West, Milwaukee’s Summerfest Potowatomi Stage and the Lawrence University Chapel (as a soloist with the Lawrence Symphony Orchestra).
As a composer, he has collaborated with members of The No Nothings, The Involuntary String Band and Porky’s Groove Machine to release albums comprised of original music, and was chosen to write one of the pieces for the 2016 Lawrence Symphony Orchestra Composers’ Forum. Ilan is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree with majors in guitar performance and music composition at Lawrence University. |
